Process notes
This teapot was wheel thrown from 100% recycled stoneware with a fine grit addition, resulting in a robust clay body with a softly speckled appearance. In reference to journeys across the South Australian outback, sprawling lines of blue and white have been carefully incised into the surface using inlay techniques. The outside of the teapot is finished with a semi-matte white glaze that responds to the colours laid into the clay, while the inside of the teapot has a slightly glossier pale blue finish.
