Process notes
This mug was wheel thrown from 100% recycled stoneware with a fine grit addition, resulting in a robust clay body with a softly speckled appearance. Clay was sliced off using a humble potato peeler and potter’s knife to create a geometric, faceted form. The handle has also been sliced into shape. The outside of the mug is finished with a semi-matte white glaze, while the inside of the mug has a glossier finish - adding to the durability of the mug while creating a soft two-tone glaze profile.
